ALBA Berlin completed the semifinals puzzle of the final stage of the German league playoffs by beating BG Gottingen, 88-85, at the Audi Dome on Saturday. The team coached by Aito Garcia Reneses blew out the series, 181-153.

Game 2 initially looked just like Game 1, but Dominic Lockhart with 19 points drew up a competitive effort down the stretch for the losing side. Martin Hermannsson posted 19 points for the Albatrosse and Marcus Eriksson followed with 13.

Up next in a fresh two-game series for ALBA is EWE Baskets Oldenburg that progressed earlier thanks to an 89-75 win against Brose Bamberg and the 175-156 aggregate score. Ian Hummer poured 29 points and grabbed nine rebounds for the team advancing to the semifinals.
