Plenty of weekend action in Germany brings up the first nine-game schedule of the young 2020-21 season

FC Bayern Munich, ALBA Berlin, and ratiopharm Ulm retained undefeated status in the German league after three games. The Hamburg Towers and HAKRO Merlins Crailsheim went up 2-0.

EWE Baskets Oldenburg – FRAPORT SKYLINERS 86-69

Keith Hornsby caught fire with 5-7 from deep on his way to 28 points for the victors while Rickey Paulding scored 16 and Philipp Schwethelm nine points.

For the Skyliners, Kamari Murphy scored 16 in addition to Konstantin Klein’s 14 and Jon axel Gudmundsson’s 12 points.

Basketball Löwen Braunschweig – RASTA Vechta 96-78

A convincing win for Braunschweig with five players scoring in double-digits. Lukas Meisner led the way with 19 points followed by Kostja Mushidi and Karim Jallow with 18 each.

Bryon Allen scored four points but also dished 12 assists. For Vechta, Jordan Barnett scored 15 and Will Vorhees 13 points. Dennis Clifford logged 12 points and ten rebounds.

NINERS Chemnitz – BC Gottingen 99-103

Luke Nelson and Aubrey Dawkins scored 24 points each while Tai Odiase added 17. Jorge Gutierrez logged 11 points and 13 assists.

On the other side, Marcus Thornton scored 25 and George King 17 points.

JobStairs GIESSEN 46ers – ratiopharm Ulm 81-106

Dylan Osetkowski banked in 21 points for Ulm followed by Aric Holman’s 19 and Andreas Obst’s 18 points.

Brandon Bowman and Brandon Thomas scored 17 points each for the losing side.

ALBA Berlin – Telekom Baskets Bonn 97-74

Niels Giffey posted a 17-point, 10-rebound double-double for the 3-0 start. Luke Sikma got 16 points and Johannes Thiemann 14. Marcus Eriksson, Louis Olinde, and Lorenz Brenneke were ruled out for the game.

For the visitors, Strahinja Micovic, Chris Babb, and Deividas Gailius shared a team-high 14 points.

medi Bayreuth – Syntainics MBC 99-81

Matt Tiby and Frank Bartley at 19 points apiece guided the home side to the “W”. Roko Rogic scored 17 but landed on the wrong end of the result.

s.Oliver Wurzburg – Hamburg Towers 61-90

Kameron Taylor dropped 19 points, while T.J. Shorts, Jordan Swing, and Maik Kotsar added 14 each for the away win.

The hosts falling behind from the first half featured Tayler Persons at 12 points and Tyson Ward at 11.

FC Bayern Munich – MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg 93-70

Wade Baldwin IV up to 21 points was the main offensive element of the team coached by Andrea Trinchieri improving to 3-0. Leon Radosevic ended up with 15 points.

On the other end, Jordan Hulls made his way to 21 points.

HAKRO Merlins Crailsheim – Brose Bamberg 101-95

Trae Bell-Haynes delivered a 30-point, 12-assist double-double setting up the 2-0 start. Maurice Stuckey added 14 points.

On the losing end, Devon Hall ended up with 21 points.
