Alba Berlin and Bayern Munich get wins in Germany

Both German powerhouses continued with victories in their domestic league.

German League defending champion Alba Berlin registered its 11ith straight win in BBL by routing Crailsheim Merlins 101 – 77 on the road. The “Albatrosses” dominated their opponents right from the start, despite the absences of guards Jayson Granger and Peyton Siva.

Maodo Lo led all scorers with 19 points. Louis Olinde posted 15 points plus six rebounds while Simone Fontecchio and Johannes Thiemann had 13 points apiece for Alba that improved to 14-1.

The Merlins dropped to 14-3. Elias Lasisi and Jamuni McNeace had 13 points for the hosts.

Earlier, Bayern Munich got a 81 – 77 away win over Ratiopharlm Ulm behind Vladimir Lucic’s 17 points and six rebounds to move to 13-3. Paul Zipser scored 13. Wade Baldwin added 12 points including the win-sealing 3-pointer for the 79 – 72.

Dylan Osetkowski (12 points, 11 rebounds) was Ulm’s top performer. His team is now 10 – 7.

Jaleen Smith fired in 26 points for Ludwigsburg as his side improved its league-leading record to 16-1 off the win, 81-74, over Braunschweig, Wednesday.
