Bayern beats Braunschweig, Oldenburg downs Alba

Bayern took advantage of its EuroLeague momentum while Oldenburg outplayed Alba.

JaJuan Johnson scored 22 points and grabbed five rebounds and Jalen Reynolds had 19 points plus five assists as Bayern Munich defeated Braunschweig 94 – 79 to register its third straight win in the German League. Andrea Trinchieri’s team improved to 17 – 4 and climbed third in the standings.

Gavin Schilling finished with 19 points while Arnas Velicka contributed 16 points for Braunschweig that didn’t manage to stop Bayern’s effectiveness on offense. The team is now 12th at 7 – 12.

In Berlin, EWE Oldenburg delivered the upset against local Alba by winning 89 – 81. Keith Hornsby (18 points), Ricky Paulding (15 points) and Rashid Mahalbasic (13 points, nine assists, five rebounds) stood out from the winning side, now fourth with a 17 – 5 record.

Peyton Siva had 15 points and five assists while Maodo Lo and Marcus Eriksson scored 11 apiece for the Berlin side. Alba remains second and now has a 17 – 3 record.
