Bayern routs Syntainics, Hamburg upsets Alba

Bayern was without several of its stars but still made short work of its opponent.

Despite missing four key players, Bayern Munich didn’t only beat but routed Syntainics MBC 85 – 66 at home to improve its German League record to 21-4.

DJ Seeley (19 points), Nick Weiler-Babb (17 points), Jalen Reynolds (14 points, seven rebounds), JaJuan Johnson (13 points, eight rebounds) were Bayern’s top contributors. Andrea Trinchieri team’s, that was missing Wade Baldwin, Vladimir Lucic, Paul Zipser and James Gist, outplayed its opponents 26 – 11 in the last quarter to comfortably win.

Quinton Hooker scored 20 points and grabbed five rebounds, Michal Michalak dropped 13 points and Roko Rogic 10 for Syntainics that is now 7 – 18 and just above the relegation zone.

In Hamburg, the local Towers defeated Alba Berlin 90 – 75 behind the trio of Kameron Taylor (21 points, nine rebounds), Terry Allen (21 points) and Maik Kotsar (20 points, nine rebounds).

Niels Giffey had 14 points, Jayson Granger 14 and Marcus Eriksson 12 for Alba. Their team is now 20 – 4 while Hamburg went up to 14 – 9.
