Hamburg Towers snapped Bayern Munich’s seven-game winning streak in Germany by taking a 91 – 86 victory in overtime. This result brings Hamburg to 15 – 9 and the sixth place in the standings while second-placed Bayern is now 21 – 5.

Jordan Swing dropped a game-high 21 points and grabbed six rebounds for Hamburg. Maik Kotsar posted 20 points and 14 rebounds while T.J. Shorts and Kameron Taylor had 18 points apiece in a very close game.

JaJuan Johnson (16 points) and Paul Zipser (14 points, seven rebounds) were Bayern’s top contributors. Andrea Trinchieri’s team will now be focusing on a crucial set of EuroLeague games vs. Fenerbahce Beko and Zalgiris Kaunas in the upcoming double-round week to try and secure a playoffs spot.

On the other hand, Alba Berlin came out victorious with 93-82 on the scoreboard against Syntainics MBC. Niels Giffey and Simone Fontecchio led the way with 17 points each while Johannes Thiemann added 16 and Marcus Eriksson 15 points.

For the opposing team, Michal Michalak scored 18 and Roko Rogic 17 points in addition to Sergio Kerusch and Quinton Hooker’s 16 points each.
