Bayern Munich was hugely successful in EuroLeague this week but followed it up with a loss to Giessen in the German League

After a double-week action in EuroLeague and securing a playoff spot, FC Bayern Munich made a slip-up in the German League by losing 95-94 to JobStairs GIESSEN 46ers.

Jonathan Stark was responsible for leading the winning team’s offense with 25 points on 6-8 from long range while Brandon Kyle Bowman added 16 and Diante Garrett 14 points.

Scottie James Jr. and John Bryant logged 12 points and ten rebounds each. For Bayern, which played without Vladimir Lucic and Wade Baldwin while Jalen Reynolds spent less than four minutes on the court, Robin Amaize scored 17 in addition to Paul Zipser and Diego Flaccadori’s 15 points each.

Bayern remained near the top of the standings with 21-6, behind Alba Berlin with 21-4 and MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg with 24-2. Giessen got an important win in the efforts to escape the relegation zone and improved to a 5-21 record.
