Five players scored in double figures for Bayern Munich bounced back to wins in the German League with a 83 – 62 rout over medi Bayreuth. The Bavarian side was coming off a loss to Giessen 49ers Saturday (3/4).
Paul Zipser led Bayern with 19 points. Jalen Reynolds had 18 points and six rebounds, JaJuan Johnson posted 13 points plus six boards while Wade Baldwin and Diego Flaccadori posted 10 points apiece for the hosts that established their hold by dominating the second period 26 – 10 and never looking back.
Dererk Pardon (13 points) and Frank Batley (11 points) were Bayreuth’s top contributors. Their team dropped to 11 – 16 and is tied with Fraport Skyliners at the ninth spot. Bayern is third at 22 – 6.
