FC Bayern Munich bounces back in the easyCredit BBL after the tough loss to ALBA Berlin

After the two straight home wins versus AX Armani Exchange Olimpia Milano in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague playoffs, FC Bayern Munich routed BG Gottingen, 102-90.

Youngster Sasha Grant accounted for 21 points, a career-high. The Italian forward was 7/9 from the field, including 4/6 from beyond the arc. Erol Ersek added 17 points with 6/6 field goals in his senior squad debut. Andrea Trinchieri’s side improved its easyCredit BBL record to 24-8, one week after the lopsided loss to ALBA Berlin.

ALBA, also in action on Sunday, rolled Wurzburg, 99-79. Swedish Marcus Eriksson connected 7/11 from long range generating a game-high 21 points. His side marched to 26-6 and trails only Ludwigsburg. The German league leaders retained their distance going up to 29-3 with a convincing 89-73 victory against Bonn.

In additional Round 32 action, Oldenburg blew out the Fraport Skyliners, 82-59, jumping to 23-8. Also, Trae Bell-Haynes neared a triple-double with 20 points, 11 assists, and nine rebounds as Crailsheim defeated the Hamburg Towers, 85-79, making it to 22-10. Streaking Ulm follows sixth at 21-11 pushed by Troy Caupain and his 19 points in the 85-70 victory over Chemnitz.
