ALBA Berlin suffered its second loss in three rounds in the German League

MHP Riesen saved an upset to conclude Day 3 of action in the German League as they beat ALBA Berlin 74-62 at home to bounce back from last week’s defeat.

Luke Sikma’s 20-point performance wasn’t enough for ALBA that suffered its second loss of the season and has currently sunk to the bottom of the standings.

Justin Simon paced the hosts with 16 points, 6 steals and 5 rebounds, while Tremmell Darden had 12 points and 4 rebounds.

Bayern got back to its winning ways and downed Braunschweig 96-80 at home to register their first victory into the new BBL season.

DeShaun Thomas was the leading scorer for Andrea Trichieri’s squad with 18 points, 6 rebounds, Ognjen Jaramaz had 16 points, Corey Walden added 14 and Darrun Hilliard had 12 in this high-scoring win.

Braunschweig’s Benedikt Turudic had 17 points and 7 rebounds.
