It was a bit of a dramatic situation for ALBA but quite the opposite for Bayern.

Marcus Eriksson scored 20 points as ALBA Berlin defeated Ratiopharm Ulm 71 – 66 in overtime to grab its fourth straight German League victory.

Luke Sikma added 10 points, seven rebounds and five assists for ALBA while Johannes Thiemann scored 10. Cristiano Felicio led Ulm with 15 points plus 13 rebounds.

After Semaj Christon scored the layup that tied the game at 63 with 20 seconds to play in regulation, Jaleen Smith missed the shot to win the game. ALBA opened the extra period with seven unanswered points, not allowing Ulm to become threatening.

Earlier, Bayern Munich defeated Gottingen on the road behind 18 points by DeShaun Thomas and 14 points courtesy of Nihad Djedovic. Kamar Baldwin scored 17 for the hosts. The Bavarian side is 6-2 and tied with Telekom Baskets Bonn at the top of the standings.
