Two decisive free throws by Javontae Hawkins and Saulius Kulvietis in the final seconds of Game 3 helped Bonn live another day in the semifinals against Bayern and avoid the sweep with an 86-84 victory on the road.

After losing back-to-back games at home, Bonn got ahead with a 24-20 lead in the opening quarter and kept leading until the end, surviving Bayern’s reaction.

Hawkins led Bonn with 19 points in this win, Jeremy Morgan added 17 points and 6 rebounds, Michael Kessens tapped 16 points and Parker Jackson-Cartwright finished the game with 15 points.

Bayern’s Deshawn Thomas scored 18 points, Vladimir Lucic and Nihad Djedovic each shared 14 points and Nick Weiler-Babb had 12.

The series travels back to the Audi Dome in Munich on June 6, where Bayern will seek to close the series.
