Bayern Munich reacted after the EuroLeague defeat at home to Fenerbahce Beko by beating Niners Chemnitz 88 – 74 in a German League game. The Bavarian side was particularly strong in the second half to get its third win in three games in the BBL.

Augustine Rubit had 22 points and nine rebounds to lead Bayern while Vladimir Lucic added 16 points. Nick Weiler-Babb contributed 13 points plus seven assists for Andrea Trinchieri’s team that put on a solid team performance (22 assists) while being lethal from the perimeter (15-31 3-pointerS)

Chemniz were up 47 – 49 at halftime but were overpowered by their opponents after the break. Marko Filipovity (29 points) wasn’t enough for the visiting side.

Maodo Lo had 19 points and Johannes Thiemann provided 19 points of his own plus seven rebounds as ALBA Berlin defeated EWE Oldenubrg 81 – 89 on the road, perhaps easier than what the final score shows. The Albatrosses led up to 19 points halfway through the fourth period before Oldenburg tried to come back without any result.
