No more undefeated teams in BBL, as Alba Berlin fell short in a dramatic finish against BG Gottingen. Harald Frey gave the hosts a 96-95 victory with a three-pointer in the last 15 seconds.

Yovel Zoosman tried to answer on the other side of the field but missed the winning shot at the buzzer.

Incredible performance from Mark Smith with 33 points and seven rebounds, as well as from hero Frey with 24 points and seven assists gave Gottingen their fourth win (4-3), while Alba now has a 6-1 score.

Jaleen Smith’s 17 points, 15 from Gabriele Procida, and 13 points from Maodo Lo weren’t enough for the defending champions. In the first loss of the season, Yovel Zoosman added 11, while Johannes Thieman 10 points.

It was a great battle in Gottingen from the first, until the last minute. Teams went back and forth, and the biggest difference between the sides was six points.

Alba managed to break away in the last period, but it was dramatic until the final buzzer, with Frey missing the opportunity from the free throw line, to tie the game with 28 seconds to go.

Maodo Lo answered in the same manner, missing the first, and hitting the second free throw, but then Frey responded with a triple and gave the lead to the hosts. Zoosman couldn’t provide a reaction, and Alba was defeated.

With an 83-73 win against s.Oliver Wurzburg, Bayern Munich got their fourth straight victory in easycreditBBL, and improved to 7-1, handing Wurzburg their fifth loss (3-5).

Isaac Bonga had a great game for the winning team, with a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds.

Augustine Rubit and Cassius Winston followed with 12 points each, while Niels Giffey and Corey Walden added 10 points each.

Stanley Whittaker lead the losing side with 20 points, Cameron Hunt followed with 13, while C. J. Bryce and Xeyirus Williams added 10 points each.

Bayern had a 15-point lead at halftime, but Wurzburg managed to cut it to three points in the final quarter. The hosts responded at the right time, and with a 7-0 run closed out the game.
