Big win for Bonn against Bayern Munich, who suffered a third straight competitive loss

Tuomas Iisalo’s Telekom Baskets Bonn is having a tremendous season, which is now even better after a 77-73 win at Munich against F.C. Bayern.

Bonn recorded its 16th (16-2) victory of the season and is trailing only leaders Alba Berlin (16-1), with three more wins than Andrea Trinchieri’s team (13-5).

T.J. Shorts continued to impress at Iisalo’s team, as he led the way against Bayern’s EuroLeague squad with 26 points, eight assists, and five rebounds for a PIR of 29.

Leon Kratzer followed him with 16 points, while Finn Delaney and experienced Karsten Tadda added 10 points each.

Isaac Bonga had a brilliant game with 28 points and nine rebounds for a PIR of 35, but it wasn’t enough for the Bavarians, as the German national team player was the only one in double-digits.

Alba Berlin managed to stay at the top thanks to a 94-86 win against Heidelberg.

Yannick Wetzell scored 20 points for the winning side, Yovel Zoosman added 14, Jaleen Smith had 12 points, and Tim Schneider scored 11. Louis Olinde added 10, the same as Luke Sikma, who also had ten assists and five rebounds.

Ugrai Maximilian led the home team with 22 points, Eric Washington had a great game with 19 points and 12 assists, while Bryan Griffin added 14 points in 14 minutes.
