Two different competitions during the Weekend in Germany

By Eurohoops team/ info@eurohoops.net

Different missions for the German clubs during this Week, since we had three games for the Cup quarterfinals and four matches for the Championship.

When it comes to the German Cup, the most powerful teams had their way, easily or not. Brose Baskets took advantage of Ludwigsburg’s bad shooting percentage from behind the arc (3/18) and advanced, while Alba Berlin had no problem against s. Oliver. The Skyliners had a strong second half in Frankfurt against Oldenburg, thus also joining the teams of the Top Four.

In the Championship games, Ratiopharm Ulm stayed in the playoff spots, a place that Hagen also approaches after the road victory vs Bayeruth.  Bremerhaven had a good chance to get an important win against Tubingen but the guests in the game, had the last word. Bonn’s frontline was immense for highly prolific scoring, which the Merlins could not match.

German Cup Quarterfinals:

Alba Berlin (Elmedin Kikanovic 17 points, 7 rebounds) – s. Oliver Baskets: 102  73

Ludwigsburg – Brose Baskets (Nicolo Melli 17 points, 6 rebounds) : 58 – 71

Fraport Skyliners (Quantez Robertson 13 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists) – Oldenburg: 80 – 68
