On the day that Brad Wanamaker of defending champs Brose Baskets was named BEKO BBL’s MVP, Alba Berlin is out of the playoffs in a season that ended without any glory.

Wanamaker got the award with 132 points in the voting against 68 points of the runner up Jordan Theodore from the Fraport Skyliners. And it’s not coincidence that Fraport completed the 3-0 sweep over Alba, one of the biggest brands of German basketball, which had a bad season. With Theodore scoring 15 points and leading a balanced offense, Fraport got the easy 87-66 win.

Meanwhile Oldenburg stayed alive thanks to the 87-85 win over Ulm (1-2) with Ricky Paulding scoring 30 points. Bayern Munich got the 2-1 wins lead over Ludwigsburg by prevailing at home (79-68) with Bryce Taylor finishing the game with 19 points.
