Usually when a player makes a bad pass the one that gets hurt is his team that loses the possession. Yet as you can watch above, sometimes said player might also hit innocent bystanders. In sensitive areas.

Such a thing happened in the German League game between Giessen 49ers and Rasta Vechta. The guests’ Niklas Gesek wanted to find his teammate but send an… assist directly to the referee’s groin. And it hurt.

The referee needed to recover a bit before getting back in the game. Can’t blame him.
