EWE Baskets Oldenburg recorded their seventh victory this season as they beat the reigning champion Brose Bamberg at home 81-74. Ricky Paulding was spitting fire today as he had an outstanding game with 28 points adding 6 rebounds as well.
The hosts were in the control from the beginning winning the first quarter 24-17. The team coached by Andrea Trinchieri was able to close the gap in the second quarter as the result after the first half was 44-43 for Oldenburg. However, Bamberg falls short in the second half as they weren’t able to take the lead at any moment of the game.
Rasid Mahalbasic had 14 points and 7 boards for Oldenburg tonight being the main force along with Paulding for the winners.
As usual Dorrel Wright had the most points for Bamberg as he scored 15 points, but today that was not enough. Bamberg now holds a 9-5 record as Oldenburg stands on a 7-6.
