After a great fight and one overtime, Bayern Munich booked their ticket to the semi-final of the German Cup after prevailing over Brose Bamberg 101-97.
With 2 minutes left on the clock, teams were tied at 80-80 when Daniell Hackett nailed 4 points in a row. With Nikos Zisis scoring two more points it looked like Bamberg will take the win.
However, first Braydon Hobbs scored a triple then Nihad Djedovic scored 2 plus 1 after Zisis’ turned the ball forcing the overtime.
Same as in the regular time both teams gave their best, but with Djedovic and Reggie Redding leading the way it was Bayern who grabbed the win in overtime.
Redding had game-high 24 points and Djedovic had 13.
Hackett scored 21 points for the losing side while Zisis added 19.
Earlier today Alba Berlin beat Ludwigsburg at home 78-73.
