Bayern Munich prevailed over Alba Berlin 80 – 75 to conquer the German Cup. Aleksandar Djordjevic’s team got the win after two straight defeats in the final game.

Jared Cunningham was the star of the game finishing with 27 points (10 during the fourth quarter). Reggie Redding added 13 points while Vladimir Lucic had 12 in a huge second half. Peyton Siva finished with 11 points, 7 assists and 7 turnovers for the losing side.

Luke Sikma’s 11 points led Alba to a 2-point lead at the break (36 – 38) in a tight first half. Cunningham and Bayern tried to react but Alba kept the advantage with a three-point rampage during the third quarter.

Bayern took back the lead and completed the comeback with less than two minutes left (75 – 73). Braydon Hobbs’ triple and Cunnigham’s clutch free throws decided the title.

Also, Ryan Thompson led Ulm to the third place in the German Cup with a win over Bayreuth.
