Bayern made a comeback and was close to victory but Rickey Paulding and Oldenburg had the final say on the matter.

Bayern Munich managed to make a comeback and had the victory within their grasp but Rickey Paulding drew a foul on a three-point shot, nailed all the free throws and gave EWE Baskets Oldenburg the narrow 83-82 home win on Day 21 of German League.

Will Cummings was the one pushing Oldenburg throughout the game with 20 points followed by Vojdan Stojanovski with 16 and Philipp Schwethelm with 15 points. Paulding had eight points and seven rebounds.

For Bayern, Petteri Koponen scored 18 and Derrick Williams 17 points in addition to Maodo Lo’s 14.

This was Bayern’s first loss of the season in German League after 19 straight wins (19-1) but are still alone at the top followed by Oldenburg with a 16-4 record.
