Alba stopped Oldenburg’s comeback effort and took the 2-0 lead in the German League semifinals

Alba Berlin managed to hold off EWE Baskets Oldenburg’s fourth-quarter comeback and record a 79-68 home win with which they take the 2-0 lead in the German League semifinals.

Rokas Giedraitis scored 13 points for Alba followed by Luke Sikma, Landry Nnoko and Peyton Siva’s 11 points each. Nnoko also grabbed 12 rebounds for a double-double.

On the other side, Rasid Mahalbasic scored game-high 18 points while Will Cummings added 17 in addition to Rickey Paulding’s 16 points.

Game 3 will be played on Sunday, June 9, and Oldenburg will have the home-court advantage as they try to stay alive in the best-of-five series.
