Bayern Munich beat Rasta Vechta 95 – 80 in Game 3 of the German League semifinals to sweep the series 3-0 and qualify to the Finals for the second straight season and fourth overall in the history of the club.
Danilo Barthel (17 points, six rebounds) and Vladimir Lucic (17 points) were the top scorers for Bayern. Nihad Djedovic added 15 points while Stefan Jovic finished with 14 points and six assists.
T.J. Bray scored 38 points with 10/13 triples for Rasta Vechta. Yet his team needed much more to keep up with Bayern’s offense.
The losing side bounced back after falling behind 29 – 12 in the first quarter to close halftime at a 5-point distance. The Bavarian squad dominated after the break to take an advantage of 20 points, 77 – 57, a bit before the end of the third period. They never looked back.
Bayern will face the winner of the Alba Berlin – EWE Oldenburg series. Alba leads 2-0.
