Paul Zipser scored 21 points and grabbed six rebounds while Vladimir Lucic added 17 points as Bayern Munich beat Medi Bayreuth 91 – 79 to improve its German League record to 7-0 and remain the only undefeated team in the championship.

For Bayreuth, Travis Reid had 26 points and six rebounds. This was the fifth defeat this season in BBL for the team.

Bayern took control of the game in the third period by outplaying its opponents 26 – 18 and kept leading in double digits for nearly the entirety of the final quarter. The German League defending champions are now facing Greek powerhouses Olympiacos (19/11) and Panathinaikos (22/11) next week in EuroLeague.

MHP Riesen gave a hard landing to Alba Berlin following the latter’s away triumph over Panathinaikos. In the match that concluded the round, NBA Draft prospect Killian Hayes scored 24 points to lead Ratiopharm Ulm to a comeback win over Brose Bamberg.
