Acie Law changed the game of Olympiacos, when he was signed just before the start of Top 16. And now the former NBA and Partizan player is ready to face Siena and Bo McCalebb in order to get to the Final Four with the Reds in his first season in Eurοleague

From the first moment Acie Law signed in Olympiacos, it was clear that the Reds were about to change their game. And so it happened. The newcomer was able to adapt quickly enough and found the best possible way to work side by side with Vassilis Spanoulis

You see, in Partizan, his first European team, he was the absolute leader. He was playing for 35 minutes at each game and he had 12.7 points and 3.4 assists on average. At Olympiacos the case was totally different and Law didn’t hesitate even for one minute to change habits. He didn’t have the slightest problem to be the back up… vocalist, to have a smaller but more special role. Something which is never easy for an American player, specially in his first season in Europe.

Three months later, Law is ahead of the Euroleague play offs challenge and as he said to eurohoops.net «We expect a very tough series, a great series against Siena”. He knows all about last year: “I heard about it, coach mentioned it after the Galatasaray game. He said that we don’t have to worry about that and just take care of our business this year”.

We had the chance to talk to him after Olympiacos‘ last game before Siena and that is why he was a bit unprepared: “I haven’t seen any of Siena’s games this year, not yet. We are going to be informed about them but Ι know that Siena has some great players. I think it will have a lot of fun”.

One of the most interesting duels will be Law vs. Bo McCalebb, a player who has Law’s respect: “I have heard too much about him, he played very well in the Eurobasket and in the Euroleague. I think it will be very interesting to play against him. But he is just one player of a great team. And we have to take care of everybody, because we want to beat them”.

The experience of a knockout series in Euroleague is unusual for Law, but to his… ears Siena’s home court advantage isn’t something that important: “I’m not sure if it is. I know that we will be prepared for those games, we will do our best and hopefully that will be enough for us to qualify”.
