Panathinaikos and Maccabi Tel Aviv will need a Game 5 to decide who will play in this year’s Euroleague Final Four but the two European powerhouses will also battle this summer for the services of 27years old center Aleks Maric

Panathinaikos stayed alive and proved το Maccabi Tel Aviv that the European champion is too hard to die (78-69). Even in a “do or die” game in hot “Nokia Arena”. None team other than Barcelona three years ago has won the fourth game after 1-2, but “greens” as have shown during the past aren’t an… ordinary team.

So, the battle between Panathinaikos and Maccabi continues and will be judged next week in the fifth game. Shortly later, however, will be judged also where Aleks Maric will play the next season.

The 27years old center hasn’t justified the expectations of Panathinaikos so far. Last year he didn’t play for a long time due to an injury but also this year he hasn’t played a lot if you have in mind his games in playoffs against Maccabi. He plays consistently less (14 minutes, 7 minutes, 3 minutes and 7 seconds) and it seems that his career in OAKA ends soon.

However the memories of his games in Partizan two years ago haven’t faded so much, so Maric is too high on Maccabi’s transfer list for the summertime. As it is reported, Maccabi broke the negotiations with Richard Hendrix’s agent, so maybe this news helps this rumor to be true.
