Bayern Munich is entering next season’s Euroleague having almost a core of former Alba Berlin players in its roster. After Schaffartzik, Djedovic and Idbihi, Deon Thompson will also be a resident of Bavaria next season as the fourth member of a quartet which played last season in Berlin. In the start of the summer Thompson tried to get a chance in the NBA, but he decided to return for a fourth season in Europe and a third in Euroleague.
Also, Latvian champions VEF Riga who are preparing for the Euroleague qualifying round announced the three-year contract extension of 20 years old talent Janis Berzins.
