OPAP, the state’s betting company, which is major sponsor of both Panathinaikos and Olympiacos, held a press conference with the participation of the coaches (Zeljko Obradovic, Dusan Ivkovic) and two players from each team (Sarunas Jasikevicius, Stratos Perperoglou, Giorgos Printezis, Kostas Papanikolaou).
The Serbian old friends highlighted the fair play. Zoc noticed that “it’s good that we are united. We never had a problem between us and I hope to have a nice atmosphere in the Istanbul, and then to SEF and OAKA in Greek finals”. A little later, Duda explained that “we are the good example for Greek fans and I am hopeful that soon we will organize games with open doors for fans of both teams”.
Finally, players of Panathinaikos‘ Sarunas Jasikevicius and Stratos Perperoglou agreed that “all crucial games are determined to the details and we must be careful”, while Giorgos Printezis and Kostas Papanikolaou said that “we want to enjoy our participation in the Final Four. We have will, thirst and big heart to succeed”.
