When something works, don’t change it, they say. That’s why Russian club Khimki decided to extend the contract of Lithuanian coach Rimas Kurtinaitis for two more seasons. On the contrary coach Andrea Trinkieri left Kazan for Bamberg and Brose Baskets.

Kurtinaitis has won the Eurocup with Khimki back in 2012, he was coach of the year this season in VTB league and winning the Eurocup once more will be the main goal of his team in 2015, which has also renewed the contract of center James Augustin and of forward Maxim Sheleketo for two more seasons.

Trinkieri, 2014 Eurocup coach of the year with Unics Kazan, was presented by Brose Baskets after signing a three years contract and explaining that he prefers “stability over money”.
