In many ways the 2013-14 season was the year of Tony Parker. He started by winning the Eurobasket, he was named FIBA Europe player of the year, he became the president of ASVEL, a team which will compete in the upcoming Euroleague qualifying round, won the NBA championship and as it was announced today signed a three years extension of his contract with the San Antonio Spurs.

The new three years deal will keep him in Texas until the summer of 2018 and it will pay him 43,3 m. dollars. And now “TP” has to rest. He decided not to play in the upcoming FIBA World Cup, but as he said he will be back for Eurobasket 2015 – which may be held in his country, France – and if his national team gets qualified, he will be present in the 2016 Rio Olympics.
