After a thrilling Euroleague week, Eurohoops is ready for the weekend’s games. We give our tips for the matches Galatasaray-Besiktas, Fuenlabrada-Barcelona, Olympiacos-PAOK, Panionios-Koiroivos and Le Mans-Boulogne.
Galatasaray comes from one of the best Euroleague games ever. The win will give them power to keep up, but the tiredness after 50’ is huge. The rotation of Ataman wasn’t so extended and 48 hours later it will be hard to win a derby against Besiktas if you count also the injuries (Pocius, Micov). Besiktas is in good shape and at least can defend the handicap (5 points).
After an excellent start during Sfairopoulos’ era, Olympiacos didn’t play well in the last two games against Rethymno and Valencia. It’s expected because the injuries are too many (Printezis, Lojeski, Papapetrou, Katsivelis). PAOK is a competitive team, still unbeaten in the Greek league and can trouble the Reds. The handicap is too big and the visitors can easily defend it.
Panionios hasn’t celebrated a win still but has good roster and plays against Koroivos, an average team without on road victory. The hosts fought hard their last three games and it’s time to win. Also, the handicap is small (3 points).
Boulogne has extremely awful defense during the last three games (allowed 116, 115 and 99 points). Le Mans doesn’t score so much but of course can get advantage of the visitors’ defense. The line (106,5) is low so it’s expected that both teams will score more.
Barcelona has great defense in the Liga Endesa (63,4 points per game) and through it will also try to win Fuenlabrada on road. The hosts don’t have so deep roster and they miss a really good creator. The line is high so probably both teams will not score more than 149,5 points.
