Coach left Besiktas after the end of Milangaz sponsorship deal and he claims that he had offers from Panathnaikos, Olympiacos, Unics Kazan and Galatasaray, where he agreed to continue his career

Nearly all Besiktas’ players have… the right to stay for next season. And they wanted to learn the decision of Milangaz, before they make their moves. That is if the main sponsor was going to stay behind the team or not. At the end, Milangaz ended the team sponsorship and Besiktas doesn’t have an alternative yet. The team, also, doesn’t have a coach, since Ergin Ataman decided to be the first one who is jumping ship, as he said to Gökhan Türe, from haberturk.com.

“There is nothing I can do. I risked the offers I had, so I can wait for Milangaz’s decision. But now, I’m free. I had offers from Panathinaikos, Olympiakos, Unics Kazan and Galatasaray Medical Park. I will go where is the best project” he said, even though the Turkish media considered him a lock for Galatasaray. However as it was proven on Thursday evening, the media were right. Ataman met with the new sportive director of Galatasaray, Lutfi Aribogan and he finally agreed in terms with the team.

Now, we have to see what Carlos Arroyo, David Hawkins, Erwin Dudley, Zoran Erceg and all the other foreign players (who are free to go) what they will do, together with Turkish players, who have one year option to use or not.
