Alba Berlin is the big winner of the German cup quarterfinals over Bayern Munich and also Brose Baskets got the ticket to the semifinals by beating Ulm. Oldenburg has already qualified as the host of the event.
For three quarters Bayern Munich had the lead in Berlin, but the hosts came back in the last period. The partial score was 26-15 for the Berliners, who were led by Alex Renfroe and got the 74-69 win. Renfore had 15 points, 6 assists and 5 rebounds, while Jamel McLean was the top scorer with 19 points. Dusko Savanovic had 15 points for Bayern.
Brose Baskets got the 15 points win over Ulm (76-61). With the exception of the third quarter, the team of coach Trinchieri has the game under control and prevailed with ease.
UPDATE: The final four was completed on the 24th of Ferbuary with Bonn getting the 92-83 win over Goettingen and the last ticket.
