With the Euroleague season and over and the Spanish league title still on the line, Barcelona already has an eye on the next season with Ante Tomic staying with the team, while Pleiss and Huertas have their eyes in the NBA.

As Spanish newspaper “El Mundo Deportivo” reported, Tomic has already a verbal agreement with the team in order to extend his contract for the next three seasons. According to the report, Tomic decided not to pursue anymore the option to sign with the Jazz, who own his NBA rights. For that reason he was ready to be represented by the Wasserman group, but he turned back to his old agent, his fellow Croatian Danko Drakulic.

On the contrary,  Brazilian guard Marcelo Huertas announced via “Yahoo! Sports” his desire to try the NBA. Huertas is going to be a free agent this summer and being 31 years old, this may be his last chance to play in the top league of the world. According to Eurohoops sources, the NBA may be also the destination of German center Tibor Pleiss. His rights belong to the Utah Jazz, Tomic is not going there and Pleiss despite having a contract until the summer of 2016 with Barca, has not satisfied the Catalans so far with his performance. His contract includes an NBA buy out option.
