Dimitris Giannakopoulos has spoken for the first time after the game against Olympiacos at OAKA, revealing that he has contacted with Vasilis Spanoulis. He also states that everything happened after the game doesn’t express him as a person.
“I consider my personal duty and need – respecting Greek sports in total, the fans and also my family’s history and myself – to state in public that the incidents at OAKA on Saturday (2/5/2015) don’t express me as a person.
I underlined the exact same thing to Vasilis Spanoulis during our contact the next day of the game.
Greek basketbal is advertising our country on a global scale and some isolated moments shouldn’t change the focus of fans, athletes and contributors. And I am the first to acknowledge that”.
