Matt Lojeski had a great season with Olympiacos and a lot of European powerhouses wanted to sign him. The American guard who also has a Belgian passport is under contract with Olympiacos for one more year but CSKA decided to make a run for him.

The Russians offered an important sum of money to the Reds in order to sign Lojeski who plays both the “2” and “3” position and produced good numbers (11.1 points with 58% 2ps, 43% 3ps, 4 rebounds and 2 assists in 25 minutes per game) in his first Euroleague season. However, Olympiacos wants to keep Lojeski and turned down the offer. The financial difference between the two sides is big and it remains to be seen if CSKA will come back soon with bigger offer.
