Ettore Messina is looking for a player to replace Andrei Kirilenko and Chuck Eidson is one the primary candidates, but first there has to be found a solution with the second year of his contract with Barcelona

The departure of Andrei Kirilenko to the NBΑ, specifically for Minnesota with a two years 20 million dollars contract, leaves an enormous gap in CSKA’s roster and one of the primary candidates to fill part of it, is Chuck Eidson.

Coach Ettore Messina likes the American forward, even though he doesn’t come from the best season of his career as he played below his standards with Barcelona. Of course he has another year of contract with “Blaugrana” and he isn’t willing to forfeit it, unless he gets an offer that reaches his salary of two million dollars.

In Barcelona they would be happy to get rid of his heavy salary and when Kirilenko’s departure becomes official, CSKA is expected to facilitate the situation. The move of Eidson to Moscow, favors all involved parties, but everything will be decided upon the numbers that will be discussed on the negotiating table.
