Shane Larkin suffered an ankle injury in recent Turkish Cup action with Anadolu Efes and was ruled out for Turkey’s upcoming EuroBasket qualifiers, the Turkish Basketball Federation, TBF, announced on Friday. The press release noted that he will be sidelined for ten days.

The club later on confirmed with its own announcement that Larkin will be out for around two weeks.

After gaining Turkish citizenship, the 27-year-old point guard got the call from the national team for the first set of 2021 EuroBasket qualifiers. However, was injured during Tuesday’s Cup contest versus Darussafaka and won’t debut yet as a member of Turkey’s squad.

Ufuk Sarica’s side was drawn in Group D alongside Croatia, Netherlands and Sweden. Will tip off hosting the Netherlands at Ankara next Friday and will visit Stockholm for a match against Sweden three days later.
