Deni Avdija was the top player of his team in the second EuroBasket Qualifiers game.

Deni Avdija scores a game-high 21 points as Israel beat Romania 87 – 63 in Gameday 2 of the 2021 EuroBasket Qualifiers.

Avdija shot 8/13 from the field, including 3/6 3-pointers, plus 2/4 free-throws. The 18-year-old NBA Draft prospect also collected eight rebounds in the 23:57 minutes he spent on the floor to lead Israeli to the 2 out of 2 in Group A.

Jake Cohen, Avdija’s Maccabi Tel Aviv teammate, finished with 17 points for Israel. Mirel Dragoste had 11 points and Emanuel Cate 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Romanian team that dropped to 0-2.
