Jusuf Nurkic in for Bosnia ahead of EuroBasket

Bosnia is back in the EuroBasket for the first time since 2017 and has its biggest star available.

Portland Trail Blazers center Jusuf Nurkic has been named to the preliminary roster of the Bosnian national team ahead of the 2022 EuroBasket and the upcoming matches of the 2023 World Cup Qualifiers. The 27-year-old big man is back with his national team after the 2019 World Cup Qualifiers and is one of the numerous NBA players who are expected to participate in the EuroBasket, such as stars Giannis Antetokounmpo (Greece), Nikola Jokic (Serbia), Luka Doncic (Slovenia) and Rudy Gobert (France)

Newly acquired Real Madrid swingman and reigning Spanish League MVP Dzanan Musa is also included on the squad that features 18 players in total. The complete list is as follows:

Miralem Halilović (Nanterre, France), Edin Atić (Budućnost, Montenegro), John Roberson (Manisa, Turkey), Džanan Musa (Real Madrid, Spain), Jusuf Nurkić (Portland Trail Blazers, USA) , Emir Sulejmanović (Lenovo Tenerife, Spain), Luka Garza (no club), Amar Alibegović (Cedevita Olimpija, Slovenia), Amar Gegić (Cibona, Croatia), Kenan Kamenjaš (Buducnost, Montenegro), Sani Čampara (Split, Croatia), Ismet Sejfić (Golden Eagle Ylli, Kosovo), Rijad Avdić (WWU Baskets Munster, Germany), Adin Vrabac (Mons, Belgium), Ajdin Penava (Mons, Belgium), Jure Zubac (Inter Bratislava, Slovakia), Haris Delalić (Igokea) , Aleksandar Lazić (Mornar Bar, Montenegro).

Bosnia will compete in Group B, together with France, Slovenia, Lithuania Hungary and co-host Germany.
