French national team center Moustapha Fall suffered a thigh injury during training camp and will miss the upcoming 2023 World Cup Qualifiers and EuroBasket, as the French Federation announced.

This problem leaves the frontline of the French team without another big since NBA prospect Victor Wembanyama had already been ruled out due to injury. Guard Andrew Albicy is also sidelined.

Fall, 30, was hurt during Wednesday’s (3/8) practice. The Olympiacos Piraeus’ center felt muscle pain in his thigh and the examinations revealed an injury that will keep him out for the rest of the summer.

He was to return to the national team after last year’s Olympic Games in Tokyo where he helped Les Bleus win the silver medal.
