Ioannis Papapetrou may miss the upcoming FIBA World Cup qualifiers game against Serbia

By Eurohoops team/ info@eurohoops.net

Ioannis Papapetrou and Kostas Gontikas are injured and it’s unclear when they will be back in action. Gontikas wasn’t expected to make the final roster of the team, however, things are different for Papapetrou who is a key member of the Greek national team rotation.

Papapetrou suffered from a strain on his right leg bicep muscle, he is out for the upcoming prep game against Turkey but he should be also considered doubtful for the FIBA World Cup qualifiers road game against Serbia.

So far there’s no indication that his presence in the upcoming Eurobasket is in danger.

On the contrary, things are much worst for Gontikas who suffered a split fracture in his right hand and he is out of the Greek national team’s active roster.
