FIBA issued the second edition of their power ranking with Slovenia, France, and Greece still leading the way

By Eurohoops team/ info@eurohoops.net

The second edition of the Eurobasket power rankings has very few changes with the top remaining the same and only Georgia (17) which lost three spots and Great Britain (22) which lost two, dropping in significantly compared to the first standings.

On the other hand, Estonia is the only team that managed to climb two spots (21).

Of course, the defending champions Slovenia is still the number one, followed by France and Greece.

And for Slovenia’s reign, the explanation is simple: “There was one game that dominated the headlines this week. Slovenia v Serbia. Or Luka v Jokic as it was billed. Doncic delivered with 34 points and 9 assists to lead the way in the 97-92 overtime triumph – their second in prep – as Vlatko Cancar hit a huge go-ahead triple in the extra period. And just as they proved last summer, the ‘supporting cast’ should not be taken lightly as Slovenia look to repeat”.
