The Italian national team almost has a final roster with Amedeo Della Valle being cut and 13 players being currently part of the practices. One more will be cut according to the FIBA rules before the start of the official games.

As coach Gianmarco Pozzecco said: “It’s another difficult choice and that makes me suffer. I thank Amedeo, who is not inferior to anyone as demonstrated by the exceptional season he had this year. In the national team, however, it is necessary to make functional choices for the team and this is the reason for my decision “.

Italy will play in the upcoming week against Ukraine in Riga, Latvia, and then against Georgia at home for the FIBA World Cup qualifiers, before hosting one of the four first-round Eurobasket groups in Milan.
