Alberto Diaz, who has played 12 games with the Spanish national team in his international career, returns to the roster as it was officially announced today.

With Sergio Llull out of action, Diaz is a much-needed addition in the point guard position and per the official press release “has fully recovered from the physical discomfort he was experiencing”, after the first week of the training camp, when he was initially cut.

As coach Sergio Scariolo explained: “Alberto Díaz is rejoining us to strengthen the point guard position, a position that received another hard blow with Sergio Llull’s injury. He has always been part of our team, participating on many occasions. He knows perfectly our systems, values, and principles. We are confident that, supported by his superb work ethic, he can bring his experience and defensive intensity to the team”.
