Following the injury suffered by Danilo Gallinari in the match against Georgia, coach Gianmarco Pozzecco has recalled center Amedeo Tessitori who will be available to the technical staff from tomorrow for the upcoming Eurobasket.
“What happened to Gallinari also happened to me several times”, said Pozzecco about the unlucky star of the Italian national team. “I can understand his state of mind because for similar reasons I had to miss the European and World Championships ”.
The Italians, hosts of Group C, will face Estonia, Greece, Ukraine, Croatia, and Great Britain in the first phase of the Eurobasket.
