Organizing an event – not just a Eurobasket – in Germany is usually a sure bet that everything will work clockwise. That was not the case, however, with the Slovenian national team and their ride from the official Eurobasket teams’ hotel to Lanxess Arena for the game against Lithuania.
Their team bus never arrived and with time being of the essence, the team ultimately used taxis to get to the arena.
Eurobasket 2017 MVP Goran Dragic first tweeted about the event but there’s also a video of the whole incident by the Slovenian federation.

The good news is that the team made it to the Arena on time, but still this is an unprecedented incident.
“It was a little bit awkward, we were waiting for the bus, but no bus. we got nervous and got taxis”, Dragic said after the game.
