Greece coach Vassilis Spanoulis invited 16 players to join the national team in the upcoming games for the 2025 EuroBasket Qualifiers against the Czech Republic (23/2) and the Netherlands (26/2).
The full list is as follows: Kostas Papanikolaou, Giannoulis Larentzakis, George Papagiannis, Dinos Mitoglou, Lefteris Bochorides, Nikos Rogkavopoulos, Kostas Antetokounmpo, Dimitris Moraitis, Panagiotis Kalaitzakis, Thomas Walkup, Giannis Gkouzeloglou, Vassilis Charalambopoulos, Vassilis Toliopoulos, Lefteris Mantzoukas, Naz Mitrou-Long, Vangelis Zougris.
Naz Mitrou-Long, who obtained Greek citizenship in December, may make his first appearance with the national team’s colors. He and naturalized Thomas Walkup can’t play in the same game though, according to the FIBA rules.
Some notable absences include Kostas Sloukas and Tyler Dorsey.
Spanoulis will make his debut as coach of the Greek national team after officially taking over in the aftermath of the 2023 World Cup in October.
