A few hours before officially opening a brief training camp, the Basketball Federation of Serbia released a list of 15 players selected by head coach Svetislav Pesic to start the Qualification Round of the 2025 EuroBasket.

Aleksa Avramovic, Dusan Beslac, Dejan Davidovac, Ognjen Dobric, Nikola Djurisic, Marko Guduric, Ognjen Jaramaz, Balsa Koprivica, Vanja Marinkovic, Luka Mitrovic, Filip Petrusev, Aleksa Radanov, Dusan Ristic, Uros Trifunovic, and Aleksa Uskokovic were called up by KSS on Monday. Team practice to formally launch preparations is scheduled for later in the afternoon.

Shy from a full roster due to missing NBA stars and injuries, but improved compared to recent years. FIBA and Euroleague Basketball reaching an agreement to avoid scheduling conflicts permits players of Turkish Airlines EuroLeague teams to combine club and international duties during the winter schedule.

Tipping off Group G of the EuroBasket Qualifiers, Serbia welcomes Finland in Belgrade on Friday and goes on the road against Georgia in Tbilisi on Monday. With Finland among the hosts of the final stage and receiving an automatic berth, two tickets to the EuroBasket are available between Serbia, Denmark, and Georgia through the next international windows.

Resuming the Qualification Round and deciding the progressing national teams, the remaining action is set to be played during the 2024-25 winter schedule, in November and next February.

A field of 24 countries, including hosts Cyprus, Finland, Latvia, and Poland will battle for the EuroBasket crown from August 27 to September 14, 2025.
